Who we are
Homes, rooms and hostels, shops and offices, venues, warehouses and land, to rent, buy or book. Tenants search on a map, on the web and as an app on their phones. Listing is free, for landlords and agencies alike.
On the map
Occupy is map-first. Tenants open the map, look at the area they want and see every space there, street by street, on the web and in the app.
On WhatsApp and social
Every space and every landlord page has a link made for sharing.
On the ground
Occupy scouts bring landlords and their spaces onto the map, area by area.
The tenant's side
It costs days, fare and energy.
Someone takes time off work, pays matatu fare and walks estate after estate, building after building. They look for "To let" signs, ask caretakers, and often find the unit already taken or nothing like what they were told.
The middleman controls the information.
Where a house is and what it looks like is held back to make money. Pay a viewing fee just to learn the location. Pay a middleman who then shows bad houses on purpose, because a tenant who keeps searching keeps paying.
Online isn't safe either.
Photos are stolen from real listings, there are "agents" in groups and on social media, and money is asked for upfront (a deposit or booking fee) for a house that is already occupied, isn't theirs to rent, or doesn't exist.
The real details come late.
Water, deposit, how power is paid, how far it is to the road or the stage, whether the area feels safe: all of it is learned only after the trip, the fee and the walk.
Trust is the real cost.
Every step assumes someone is trying to cheat them, so searching is draining, slow and expensive, and many people settle for a poor house just to stop looking.
On Occupy
Occupy puts everything in the open, for free. A tenant opens the map on their phone and sees your house exactly where it is, with real photos, the rent, the deposit and the terms. They call you directly, and they only make the trip for the house they have already chosen.
For you, that means your vacancy is right where tenants now prefer to look. And when your phone rings, it is someone who already knows the house, the price and the street, and is ready to move in, not just looking around.
The landlord's side
A tenant who settles for your house just to stop searching never really stops. They leave at the first better option, and you are back to an empty unit. Meanwhile, the tenant who wanted exactly your unit, at your price, on your street, is searching the next estate and never finds it.
The wrong match
RepeatsThe right match, on Occupy
01
Found by the right tenant
Tenants pick the area, price, size and terms before they call you. The ones who call already want what you offer.
02
Chosen, not settled for
A tenant who chose your house with everything in view has no reason to keep looking. That is how a let becomes a stay.
03
Fewer empty months
Your next tenant is not waiting for a sign on the gate. They see your vacancy on the map the day you switch it on.
Occupy matches your space to the tenant who wants it.
